Blood Equality

After reading an article in the New York Times about the injustices of blood donation, my art partner and I had an idea: make science transcend stigma. We created Blood Equality, a pro bono megacampaign, to advocate for equality in donating blood by driving awareness, conversation, and policy change. This blend of advertising, activism, science, and art successfully challenged an outdated blood donation policy.

Blood Equality is a national 360° initiative that spans TV PSAs, political advocacy, nonprofit and artist partnerships, press conferences, apps, bots, live interactive events and town takeovers across the United States, projections on NYC skyscrapers, a scientific roundtable with FDA leaders, an artist-in-residence program, and dozens of video and print executions. In a word, it was HUGE.

The campaign has earned dozens of industry honors, including 2 Cannes Lions shortlists (and Cannes attendance in 2016), 4 Health Clios, 2 Global Awards, 2 MM&M Awards, Creative Floor awards, etc.
